Chuck joined GLEC’s Columbus, Ohio staff in 2019 after a 36-year career as an Environmental Specialist with the Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water. He brings a wealth of experience in collecting, enumerating, and identifying aquatic macroinvertebrates indigenous to Ohio and the Great Lakes region. Chuck has led numerous watershed level studies that determined beneficial use designations, assessed ambient water quality conditions, and identified sources and causes of impairments. He conducted macroinvertebrate sampling and developed an assessment method for evaluating Lake Erie nearshore areas, harbors, and river reaches. Chuck holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Ohio University.
