Dave Johns is one of GLEC’s most capable field technicians with a broad range of experience conducting biological, water and sediment surveys in all aquatic environments.  He has led survey crews for the NARS National Coastal Conditions Assessment and National Rivers and Streams Assessment.  Dave is also a lead operator for GLEC’s sediment coring operations and is certified in first aid and CPR, as well as 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER.  Prior to joining GLEC in 2008, Dave was a State Park Ranger and Supervisor for the Michigan DNR.  Dave has a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Michigan State University.
