Megan began work at GLEC in 2022 as a field crew technician conducting surface water and biological surveys for the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.  She is also responsible for shipping sampling kits to public water systems required to monitor for potential drinking water contaminants for EPA's UCMR program. Megan graduated from North Carolina State University in 2021 with a B.S. in Marine Science and Environmental Science and a minor in Biological Science.  During her years at N.C. State, Megan completed several extracurricular assignments, including working as an intern for the Center for Marine Sciences and Technology, undergraduate researcher for the Blue Crab Research Project, and volunteer for the Marine Mammal Stranding Network.
