Alana's principal duties at GLEC include performing aquatic and sediment toxicology tests. Alana joined GLEC in early 2022 from her employment with HDR Michigan Inc. at the Ludington Pumped Storage Plant in Ludington, Michigan where she worked on a Barrier Net Monitoring study and a Fish Community study. Alana also worked as a Biological Science Technician with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at their Marquette Biological Station where she and the team worked to control the sea lamprey populations around the Great Lakes. Alana earned a B.S.  in Biology, Natural Resources Concentration, with a Major in Environmental Studies from Central Michigan University.
